I went cruising West Coast of Mexico while attending Cal Poly. I then moved to Visalia and met my wife. We have a son and a daughter. No grandkids yet. We've been married 27+ years. I was a metal bldg contractor before devoting the majority of my time to real estate investments. We'll see you in September.

Hi everyone,

Boy, 40 years....I remember when my dad went to his 40th reunion!!!

I got my teaching credential from San Jose State in 1974 and met my future husband that summer.   We just celebrated our 31st anniversary.  I worked as a substitute teacher until our youngest was in first grade.  I retired two years ago from Simonds School in Almaden where I taught for 18 years, mostly second grade.  My husband retired a year before me.

Our son has followed in my footsteps and teaches at Hoover Middle School.  He and his wife are expecting their first child in February.  They know it's a girl.  I can't wait to spoil her!!  Our daughter takes after my husband (she was a math major) and works as an analyst for Pet Smart in Scottsdale, AZ.  She and her husband moved there just before their wedding this past February.

I didn't think I was ready for retirement but I am loving it!   Finally, we have time for photography, playing golf, gardening, traveling around the U.S. and Europe, etc. etc!!!!

I won't be at the reunion but I'll be thinking of you!!  It's been fun "catching up" via this great web site.  Thank you, committee, for doing a wonderful job.

See you at the 50th!!!

Committed Relationship 3 2012-07-11 21:26:54
Five years before graduating high school, I helped my mother raise my brothers and sisters (8 of us) by working everyday after school for the school district.  After graduation I continued to help my mother.  I worked for a bank and retail stores in the San Jose area.  Mr Pannunzio would have been proud of me; for three years I closed million dollar home loans for American Savings.  From 1977 to 1995 worked for O'Connor Hospital; 8 years as a birth recorder and my remaining years in Medical Records, Human Resources and Marketing.  From 1995 to present I process payroll for 6000 plus employees for FedEx Freight Corporate office.
I have three loving sons, one grandson (10 mos.) and one granddaughter (6 yrs.) - and yes, I do spoil her.  While watching the Olympics last month, my granddaughter  Cierra was inspired by Michael Phelps - we both took swim lessons; she still has a way to go and I try to swim everyday for two hours.  For the past 2 1/2 years I've lived with my 80 year old mother.  After being a busy wife and mother for 32 years, I was never able to travel places that I had read or dreamt about.  Now I will have the chance to do just that; I plan to begin my  travel in January with a visit to Hawaii with a few coworkers, then to Jamaica in February with my nephew and his girlfriend, and last to Italy for a tour.
A Few of my Thoughts:
Hopes/Dreams:   To be with someone that I can grow old with.  Someone will one day whisper in my ear and say, "Will you marry me?"  Be at my grandchildren's wedding.  No more violence and pain.  Travel.  Just once, ride on the back of a Harley.  Learn the Tango......
I Don't Like:  Liars.  Cheaters.  Players.  Violence.  Mondays.  Unpleasant people.  Drugs.  Smoking.
Things I Enjoy:  Music.  Dancing.  Cooking.  Sewing.  Walks on the beach.  Swimming.  Reading.
Most Enjoyment:  Passion.  Just living.   Life is too short,  every once in awhile I like to take my shoes off and walk on the  grass.  Take one day at a time.

O.K. so I lied, but from Edwin Markham JHS  I went over to Bellarmine for 9th grade and lost track of all of all you WG'S.   Was in Mr. Elkier's music class on the drums at Markham with Trapani, Valaba, Wickham, Cannelli

Became  founding member drummer of Willow Glen's own Pscho Daisey band "People !" with Robbie Levin (WG class of 67).
Also did time with "The Coachmen" aka "FBI" and the beloved energetic eclectic atomic stuntman Dennis Tracy (also WG class of 67).

Next I headed down to  study at UCSB Santa Barbara and observe the Isla Vista Riots and the burning of the Bank of America.   Transfered to UC Berkeley to study Voice and Archaeology and was mildly entertained by the National Guard with Guns and the People's Park Fiasco.

Left Berserkeley during the Cambodia Crisis and stated playing music full time.  Toured Montana, Idaho, British Columbia then came home and led the house band at "The Red Roach Inn" Meridian/Foxworthy".

Ended up in San Francisco with my own recording studio and playing original music for 12 years.  Moved to Oregon to become a Boy Scout, no I'm not gay, and started Riolo Custom Drums and American Music Drum parts, lived in a huge tree house.

The Jesuit education at Bellarmine got my brain activated and my spiritual quest agitated.  I read the Urantia Books, Monroe Astral Projections, Quaker Jim Fox, Ron Hubbard, Rosecrucians, etc, etc..   Wound up eventually became a meditation near expert
after reading all the Hindu Vedas and Buddhist stuff and studying with a living master.

Enjoy riding my bicycle around the great river trails in Eugene Oregon,The Dave Clark Five, Beatles,Zombies and La Villa Deli.

Cranking out massive guantities of Riolo Custom Drums and staying away from the train tracks!

Things have changed since last we met -- including me. But change is good; in fact, its great! In 1989 (our 20th reunion in our 21st year) I was living in Wenatchee Washington, where I had lived since 1974, working for Chelan County Planning Department as resident graphic artist/cartographer, and raising my beautiful son, Matthew who was then 14 years old. I divorced in 1991 and through Matthew met my husband, and the love of my life, Chet Robson, in 1992. It was the summer between Matthews jr./sr. years of high school, when he joined the Marauders Drum Corp, as a member of the drum line, based in Longview, WA, where Chet was a Brass instructor. They had a great summer competing across the U.S. -- Fast forward to 1995, Chet and I were married and Matthew was entering his junior year at Washington State University, pursuing a degree in Advertising/Marketing. At the same time, Chet was pursuing a career change, having taught High School band in the Seattle area for 12 years -- in Medicine. He took undergraduate courses at Eastern Washington University and in 1996 began applying for medical school at various schools across the U.S. He was ultimately accepted and chose to attend Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, Midwestern University, in Downers Grove, IL, just outside of Chicago. I left my job at the County after 22 years, and we moved to Chicagoland in pursuit of a new adventure -- and what an incredibly wonderful trip its been! We have been in Chicago now for ten years and absolutely LOVE it! I started working for Crate & Barrel in furniture sales in 1998 and am still with them, working in the office of the president, as a Customer Relations Representative. I work part time now which gives me the opportunity to pursue other interests including paper arts, cooking and gardening (there still are not enough hours in the day). Chet is in a private family practice and loving it (it was definitely a good move) and Matthew, now 33, is an Account Supervisor for Robertson Wood Advertising Agency in Las Vegas and planning to be married next April to a wonderful girl and the love of his life (good things come to those who wait). I m so looking forward to this reunion and reconnecting with old friends. Nancy Pola was just here with her husband Dave this past weekend for a visit, and when we come out we will be staying with Suzie (Valenti) Haut (you might remember her and surfer sidekick Elaine, the two Italian bleach blonde surfer girls), who I became best of friends with after I moved to Santa Cruz in 1969. She married her surfer, Doug Haut (of Haut Surfboards) and we have kept in touch ever since. Chris Russo, I hope youre planning on coming to the reunion -- if so, dont forget your pom poms! Thanks reunion committee for an awesome job! See you all soon!

My last year at SJSU, Noel's sister-in-law introduced us in April 1973.  We married that November.   Our son Jonathan is 30, Katie is 25, & Carolyn is 16 and just learning to drive!  Yeow!  Life has been an adventure and we haven't even left Willow Glen yet!  We're very involved with family, church, and our jobs.  I love working, with my niece, at a preschool with wonderfully energetic 4 yr. olds.  I am thankful for the staff of  committed Christian women that I work with.  Camping trips are vacations I enjoy as we sightsee wherever we go.  We just adopted a mutt from the Humane Society, and Daisy is a perfect addition to our household.  I do hope Melody Pollack and Linda Rowland make it to the reunion as we are still buddies.
