April 23, 1950 Married 5 2018-06-09 12:45:04

 (Updated - November 2017)

My friends and acquaintances from my “Willow Glen years” are all very important to me. I remain close friends with about a number of classmates.  I feel a special bond with each of you.
‚Äč  After graduating from Willow Glen, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to be when I grew up -- a puzzle that is still being solved.

I eventually earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from San Jose State.

For a few years, I worked at a local winery.  In 1981, I joined the staff of a local  CPA firm.  This year (2017) marks my 36th year with the company.

I am working less and and enjoying life more.  I look forward to retirement soon.

I have raised five children, and they've turned out pretty good; one is my biological child, Katie (38 years old), who lives in Montana.

My wife, Aurora, and I particularly enjoy our 7 grandchildren, including Andrew (age 25) who graduated from Willow Glen High School, 4 other grandsons and our two granddaughters, current ages are 10 and 1,  They light up my life.

Aurora keeps me alive and active.  We enjoy traveling, having made many trips together.  Italy has been one of our favorite destinations, recently completing our fifth trip there. We also enjoy traveling around the country with our small Airstream travel trailer.

Besides traveling, and spending time with our families, we also enjoy golfing, reading and going to football games.

I’m looking forward to renewing old acquaintances with you all at the 50 year reunion in 2018.

Single 2012-08-06 13:28:52

Since leaving Willow Glen High and UC Davis, life has been somewhat nomadic and has offered a variety of opportunities and challenges.   Several jobs in the first 10 years after school led me into the field of commercial real estate management, a career that spanned 28 years, focusing on property and corporate facilities operations, the final 16 being employed by Cushman & Wakefield, one of the largest real estate service firms in the world.

I left the Bay Area in 1978 for So. Cal,10 years later heading for Phoenix, Arizona.  In 2000, a position  and opportunity was offered to move to Asia where I spent  1 ½ years in Singapore starting up the company’s management services group, then transferring to Shanghai, China, spending the next 6  years  further developing the business in Greater China and supporting teams in 12 countries of APAC - a life altering experience and amazing memories.

The end of 2006 I decided it was time to come home and settled in Cottonwood, Arizona, a growing community about an hour and a half NW of Phoenix, and the opposite end of the spectrum from living in a city of 20 million people.  What started as a hobby in China of designing/making jewelry became my passion. In 2007 a new adventure began marketing my jewelry and importing antique furnishings from Asia.  The future will tell how this turns out and suffice it to say I am thoroughly enjoying living a simpler and kinder life back in Arizona.  My website is a work in progress, but check it out.

Don't mess with Ronnie Trubek--if you don't put in an entry, she'll just make one up for you.
I'm NOT chief cook and bottlewasher--I'm currently an unemployed consulting oceanographer. Since jobs were scarce, my husband and I bought a VERY fixer-upper house, and I've been working on it since last September. It looks great now, and finally got it rented June 15th, so guess I've got to get to work on being an employed oceanographer.
My husband is a fish biologist for NOAA (NOT a marine biologist),and we have NOT lived all over the world while he participates in international research. We HAVE travelled alot (at least 20 countries), and often try to combine our trips with conferences he attends (to present his Bering Sea research) so his part of the plane flight is paid for. We did live in Bergen, Norway and in Washington D.C., each time for 6 months and both connected with his work, though I was able to get some consulting work in both places.
We lived in Hawaii for 7 years while I was working on my PhD and my daughter, Kelea Lani, was born there. She's now 20 and will be a senior at Santa Clara University in September, studying biochemistry.
Outside of those adventures, have lived in Seattle since 1975. Thinking of moving on some day to escape the rain, the p.c. people and all the escapees from California.
This part Ronnie wrote is true: I am so excited about the reunion and have plans to attend with my old friends Maryanne Hudson and Louise Revets.  See you all there!

Divorced 2 2012-08-06 13:28:53
Deceased Well, just sitting around in Florida, wishing there were decent waves (which there rarely are).
Been on disability the last few years....kinda got old & broken down....too much fast living, I guess...
Fathered two wonderful daughters, worked in the surfing, retail & tech industries over the years, and now just watch the tide change.
Oh, and today, while cleaning out an old box of books, I stumbled upon a pretty clean copy of the program (complete with personal updates of where we'd been, at the time) from the 10-year WG/'68 reunion...lemme know if you want a copy.

Committed Relationship 2012-08-06 13:28:54
Where do I start?  For the last 14 years I have been teaching at Aptos Middle School in San Francisco.  Aptos has a rich history and includes many celebrities among its graduates including Chief Justice Bryer and Carol Channing (whom I had the pleasure to meet during at an event she held at the school.

Mine is one of the larger string orchestra programs in San Francisco with the average of 250 students each school year passing through my class.  I run a not-for-profit called the Aptos Creative Arts Fund and raise thousands of dollars each year to support the students.  I employ professionals from local symphonies to assist and help train students.

I also am in collaberation with the San Francisco Symphony and their Opus Program as well as Opera West Foundation.  Both bring professional assistance to my "kids".

In addition, I run an on-line antique business. My partner of 22 years and I have an on-line book business as well.  I still collect, garden, and am finishing the restoration of my 1959 MGA roadster.

Sorry, you'll have to wait to see what I look like now.  I still have my hair and weigh only about 15 lbs more than I did in 68.

50 years WOW!!!  Been retired since October 1st, 2009.  Move to Reno on October 4th. My wife of 40 years (in July) and I live in the adult comminity of Del Webb in an area about 10 miles west of downtown Reno called Somersett. Our view to the south is the Sierra's.  We're only about 5 miles east of the California boarder.  Our three kids are settled into there own lives. Donna 47 (step-Daughter) Michael 38 and Ryan 36. It took a long time before we had our first grandchild. It comes from our youngest. Charoltte is 2. We have our second due in July from our son Michael. It's a boy.

We travel in our RV we purchased last year along with what my wife calls a BIG ASS TRUCK. A GMC Denali diesel. I love it. I'm looking forward to being part of the Ram Jam Band again (thank you Paul Trapani) and seeing all my classmates. Even though I don't see many outside of reunions.  These freindships from school years mean a tremendous amount to me. I hope we get the best turn out ever.
See you in September.
